Overview

The Pictsweet Company Distribution Center in Brownsville, TN is looking for a shift 1 janitor to perform custodial work in offices, warehouses, industrial areas, other building interiors, and outside grounds as directed.

Successful candidates will have excellent attendance and strong work ethic.

 

Responsibilities

  • Sweeps, vacuums, mops, using industrial vacuum cleaners and special cleaners.
  • Dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures. Dusts blinds.
  • Moves furniture and office equipment to clean areas.
  • May remove stains from such surfaces as walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
  • Picks up trash in parking lot and on grounds and may also sweep walkways.
  • Cleans restrooms, employee break room, guard shack, and supervisors office and office kitchen area as directed.
  • Clean interior of coolers, refrigerators and microwaves.
  • Empties trash bins in office, guard shack, employee break room.
  • Empties outdoor garbage cans.
  • Assist in cleaning of battery room, and engine room as directed by management personnel.
  • Keeps up with inventory and stocks cleaning supplies keeps paper product stocked in restrooms and break areas.
  • Update all inventory replenishments records electronically.
  • Maintains good attendance and performs other duties assigned.
  • Maintains and follows Master Cleaning Schedule Log on a daily basis.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
  • This job involves a combination of standing, sitting, stooping, bending, walking, and reaching at various times.
  • This position will be required to work in an office setting and outside.  This position may also periodically be required work in a cold storage environment.
