Line Attendant

The Pictsweet Company in Monte Alto Texas is looking for experienced line attendants to join our team. Line attendants will prepare machinery and equipment to begin production/processing operations.

• Sets up blancher temperature sets blancher speed, sets blancher hood in place, turns on blancher belts as well as in-feed and its charge belts
• Turns on all belts and adjust belt speeds 
• Sets bins and other receptacles as required to catch product
• Fills and monitors wash and cooling tanks with water 
• Turn on and monitors cooling sprays, chlorine sprays and flume water
• Monitors water usage; adjusts and reduces flow of water. 
• At shift end, secures all water, steam lines and shuts off all belts and blancher
• Operates forklift if needed 
• Maintains work areas clean.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum six (6) months experience working in an industrial setting

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules/signs, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.

OTHER

1. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers
2. Ability to obtain OSHA Forklift Certification
3. Ability to work 12-hour shifts
4. Ability to work weekends, including holidays
5. Ability to work rotating shifts, if necessary
6. Must have reliable transportation
